What's on top?
How are you? What has changed for you and your work over the end of year break? What new energy and ideas are guiding your work in 2020?
The new year kicks off dynamically for our team. We've recruited an amazing cohort for our Community Organising Fellowship - 25 diverse, experienced and passionate campaigners - and our first workshop for year will be held on Sydney Harbour in early March. The facilitation team is stronger than ever, with five experienced Australian campaigners working with gabby gillespie and Bill Price, activist educators and organisers with the Sierra Club.
Then, in late March and early April, we'll lead a series of six workshops in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Our two-day Campaign Strategy workshops equip community campaigners and organisers with a suite of tools to analyse their social and political context, define their objectives, choose the right target and focus, assess political opportunities, and prioritise the most powerful tactics. The one-day Civil Resistance workshops explore the theory and practice of civil resistance (otherwise known as non violent resistance, nonviolent action or NVDA) through story, sharing and learning by doing.

We're super excited to announce that we'll soon launch a new edition of our Campaign Strategy training guide. This was the first training guide in our 6-volume People Power series. Since the first edition was released in 2015, it's been used by activist educators and campaigners in more than 20 countries. The new edition includes several new process guides and resources. Stay tuned for details of launch events in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, coinciding with our workshop series in March and April. The third People Power training guide, on Civil Resistance, is nearing completion.
