What's on top?
Ok, I admit it. I'm a nerd. Since the mid 1990s, I've been obsessively collecting and creating resources and creating way to organise and share them. There are more than 3,000 resources on the Change Agency's website - articles, manuals, links, case studies... you name it. And three powerful ways to find what you're looking for.
Option 1: Simply put a key word or phrase in the 'search the site' box in the top right corner. Search for 'communication' and you'll generate a collection of 35 resources.including links to online toolboxes, book reviews and downloadable manuals. Search using an inclusive term like 'online', and you'll generate a set of resources including guides, articles and case studies.
Option 2: Check out the pull-down menus from the toolbars at the top and on the right. You'll find the site has curated collections of training resources on political analysis and strategy, resources to draw on when you're working in groups and pages on subjects like social action skills, personal development and sustainability.
Option 3: Build your own campaigners' toolkit. All content on the site has been associated with one or more categories. The 73 categories are all plain English and what you'd expect to find - resources on fundraising, movement building, strategy, tactics and so on. Build your toolkit by selecting categories, specifying what kind of resources you're looking for (links, pdfs, books, workshops or ALL), then 'showing resources'. By selecting multiple categories, you can be more specific with your search (e.g. 'climate action' and 'lobbying' or 'strategy and case study').
Our collection reflects contributions from literally hundreds of people. If you create training materials, case studies or other resources that activists and organisers might find useful, or stumble across online goodies that you're sure people would appreciate, be sure to drop me a line. Enjoy this month's links and resources, and good luck out there.
