It's five years this month since Sam and I sent out tCA's first enews. I remember the conversation: "What would we put in a monthly enews? Are there enough events, resources and opportunities for activist learning to justify a regular update?" This month's enews goes out to more than 2000 recipients. This month, all but one of our featured online resources focus on letter-writing. Many social movement groups rely heavily on letter-writing, believing that targets (politicians or public servants) will adopt policies or practices when they receive a critical mass of supportive letters.
