what's on top
Does your community work include education and facilitation with community activists, organisers and social movements? From September 18-25, tCA's team will lead two workshops to take your' skills, confidence and techniques to the next level.
The initial 2.5 day Social Movement Ed2 (or educate the educator) workshop runs Friday evening 18/9 to Sunday afternoon. Then the 4.5 day advanced workshop runs Monday evening to Friday afternoon. It's been developed for more experienced educators and facilitators - primarily those who have already participated in the first workshop.
We're hoping people will register by this Saturday (8/8) - or indicate a firm interest if you're planning to register. Full details are available from our online calendar or by emailing James >

tCA out and about
We've had a stimulating July. Working with the United Nations Youth Association, we designed and led a one-day workshop to share and develop facilitation skills. In Sydney, we led a two day 'powerful action groups' workshop with members of the World Vision team. And in Brisbane, James worked with the 6 Degrees climate change crew to develop their campaign strategy for the year ahead.
In February's enews, we described our approach to one-on-one mentoring support. We're regularly mentoring several climate change campaigners to provide critical friend support, explore options for campaign strategy, develop plans and projects and encourage sustainability.

| | Ensuring resources support learners with specific impairments - It's useful to know more about the implications of specific impairments and health conditions in order to better meet the needs of learners. This website offers insight into the experience of living and studying with an impairment, defines the terms you may encounter and suggests specific strategies for accommodating needs.
| | Developing accessible learning resources - Universal design is a term being used more and more frequently, in relation to designing everything from products and communications to the built environment, with accessibility in mind. These principles can be used when designing learning materials so that more people can use them, and that most people can use them more easily.

This month, we're pleased to add to our collection of case studies a paper on nonviolent resistance in West Papua by tCA co-director Jason MacLeod. And amongst our training resources for campaign strategising, we've uploaded a revised version of our process guide for critical path analysis which picks up on insights generated during a recent strategy session.
